New Tatkal Booking scheme effective from 10th July 2012

Indian Railway has revised rules for booking tatkal tickets effective from 10th July 2012. As per the new rules, timings has been changed to 1000am instead of 0800am of day before the journey from originating station. All the travel agents including those of IRCTC will not be able to book Tatkal Tickets between 10am to 12 noon from counters and internet as well. At many places, there will be seperate counters for Tatkal buyers, if not preference will be give to Tatkal buyers between 1000-1030 am.

New schemes also includes:
1) CCTV camera installation at all the booking counters.

2) Booking clerks will not be permitted cellphones inside the counters.

3) As per last amendment one will have to submit self attested identity proof while booking from counters.

4) High capacity database servers have been installed. And the bandwidth increased from 344 mbps to 450 mbps to handle increased number of online bookings

5)For online booking between 1000-1015 am, one may receive inquiry call regarding user id, passenger details, journey details, mobile number etc. In case of any fraudulent information ticket will be cancelled and necessary legal actions will be taken

6) An IT-Anti Fraud Squad has been created and complaint cell also has been set up. One can lodge complaints through e-mail at agentcomplaint@irctc.co.in or care@irctc.co.in or telephones.

7) For 120 days advance train ticket timing is unchanged i.e. from 0800, although 1000-1030 only tatkal tickets will be booked.

Indeed Indian Railway has taken necessary corrective actions after complaints from passengers on cornering of tickets by touts. These rules definitely will benefit passengers and increase chances of getting tickets but changes in timing will have drawback as well.

For those who are working, getting ticket from counters will cost half day of work unless their office permits, and booking online will be little inconvenient because that is the time when one is either rushing for office or just reached.

CM in the city..

After finishing my office, walking down back to flat I noticed empty main road without any roadside vendors who used to sell their goodies daily instead there were cops all over monitoring traffic. I heard from one of cop that Shri. Narendra Modi, Chief Minister of Gujarat was visiting city.

Later to get my dinner packed went on the same main road and found security even tighter, road blockages at many places, cops not letting park anyone on streets. Somehow I reached hotel and ordered dinner, by the time I got my dinner packed I enjoyed view and wondered why they need such a high security, even not letting roadside vegetable vendors to sell at their peak hours who hardly make money for a day. View had became very much similar to curfew situation not a single person on the road except cops that reminded me curfew which I had witnessed in the Bhandara when I was kid.

Meanwhile I got my dinner packed, paid the bill but I had to wait till CM crosses so I was waiting and watching, after every five minutes patrolling car was passing to check if everything is alright, police shouting on people trying to cross road, At some time all cops got even more alert and moment later cars passed one by one in the typical pattern like zoooom zooomm... I realised thats the Power.. Power of the Power. Thousands of cops are deployed for your security, people are gathered just to have a view of you. You are no less than top celebrity. Being such an important person with a responsibility of ruling state, this Z security is crucial. That's the power everyone would like to possess someday.

When all cars passed, cops allowed common public to commute I concluded my thoughts with For such high profile person caused little inconvenience to common people is justified.

Delayed Initiative..

Its been more than 3 years I joined blogger but never published a single word. After much consideration, little more inspiration and without perspiration here it goes...

Writing on issues, preparing speech for competitions used to be my hobby back in school days but somehow could not maintain it. Few days back I was insisted and inspired to write on something on a social issue with the view of sharing it with common people. That time I was in office and quite free too. So somehow initiated writing by the time I was writing I rediscovered my desires to write, though I am not a good writer.

In daily routine life, chasing goals, O & T and what not; we don't find time for our hobbies and favourite past time and later we became too habituated with our lifestyle resulting in deterioration of our favourite hobbies. On a free day when alone contemplating random thoughts we realize what we lost in gaining what we may not need. We were too fast in chasing to maintain our hobbies and we regret it badly.

My dear friend its never too late till we are dead you can always get back to favorite past time. Better late than never I am sure keeping a couple of minutes for your hobbies will make your day more pleasurable and enjoyable. And yes your hobbies are your best stress buster, don't believe me; just experience on your own.

So this is it for now. Stay in touch..
